CEINEX hosts inaugural China ETF Roadshow

Four countries in four days

China Europe International Exchange AG (CEINEX) was pleased to partner with Bloomberg to host the first ever China ETF roadshow seminar series “Discovering the risks and opportunities of investing in China” in four European countries in four days.  The roadshow stopped in financial centres: Zurich, Munich, Vienna and London over the course of the last week of September.

It was a pleasure to welcome Chief Investment Officers and other senior executives from CEINEX ETF issuers and future committed issuers to speak on topics such as: the transformational change within China’s economy, China’s onshore markets and their behaviour, the opening of the fixed-income market, and how China ETFs in Europe are priced and traded.

Speakers included representatives from Harvest Global Investments, ICBC Credit Suisse Asset Management, China Post Global, Bank of China International-Prudential Asset Management, ETF Securities, Fullgoal Asset Management, Unicredit, Goldenberg Hehmeyer and Ntree International.

The roadshow was well received and saw more than 150 renowned institutional investors attend across the four cities. The spectrum of attendees spanned from private wealth advisory and family offices to fund of fund managers, large private banks and top tier asset management houses.

As interest in investing in China builds, CEINEX will continue to bring thought leadership in the area through promoting the understanding of China’s onshore markets in Europe and offering a platform of easy-access products to the benefit of European investors.

14 ETFs and ETPs are available on CEINEX and offer exposure to China’s onshore equity, fixed-income, money market and currency rates. The CEINEX ETF market is within the EU regulated market of Deutsche Boerse and the ETFs are traded on venues: Xetra and Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
